Welcome to the World Of Tomorrow!
"It's 1930, With the world war ended, celebrations of peace sweep the world.
The world had not ended and the furs of Australia set their sights onto a worthier future, a world of tommorow!
Imagination and innovation grasped the nation, industry met invention and created dreams of progress!
Skyships litter the air, the era of Art Deco is born and to marvel at the created concept of 'what if?'; furs gather together at the World Fair!"
We would like to invite you all to step into our world of 'what if?' April 2013 when FurDU returns to Surfers Paradise Australia!
Location:
We are overwhelmed with the support the Australian furry community has shown us each year!
With registration reaching cap every year we must look at options for expansion, allowing all our friends to attend.
It's with growth in mind do we welcome
The Outrigger Hotel as the new home of FurDU.
The Outrigger offers signficantly larger and more affordable con facilities allowing us to run this year
without a registration cap.
Price:
We believe a great time should not come at a high price. Just like last year, standard registration returns at $60 for the entire 3 days of on site entertainment.
This does not include any optional external events. A sponser upgrade will be available later in the year, additional details of this to come!
Dates:
FurDU sits on the last weekend of April: Friday 26th Till Sunday 28th.
The supernova popculture expo resides a week before (April 19-21) and Anzac Day is April 25th.
To our knowledge there are no block exam periods with any QLD University within 6 weeks of FurDU.
Guests:
FurDU loves our local Australian talent and this years line up is no exception.
Stay tuned for announcements regarding our lineup of local and overseas Special Guest's for 2013.
Registration is open!
To register for FurDU simply head down to the
register page.
With larger facilties and exciting new things in the works, this year's FurDU is shaping up to be our best yet!
We look forward to seeing you in the "World of Tomorrow."
